- The Psoriasis Treatment Center was established in Grand Rapids by Dr. Marek Stawiski in 1978. Dr. Stawiski has had psoriasis since the age of four and has tremendous empathy and understanding for his psoriasis patients. After specializing in Dermatology at the University of Michigan, Dr.Stawiski was instrumental in opening the psoriasis treatment center at U of M and in researching many new therapies for psoriasis. In 1978, he moved to Grand Rapids and opened the Psoriasis Treatment Center which has become the largest treatment center in the state.
- The Psoriasis and Eczema Treatment Center offers the most advanced treatments available for psoriasis which include the X-trac laser, PUVA, UV Tech, UVB, UVA, all forms of Narrow band UVB and use of biologic medications. When new medications are approved for psoriasis they are available to our patients. Treatments are supervised by Dr. Stawiski, Dr. Patel, and Jayme Heim, FNP. Dr. Stawiski and Dr. Patel are board certified Dermatologists, and Jayme is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Additionally Cathy Sanders, Shayli Nichols
and Delores Dusendang (M.A.) are certified phototherapists who are experienced in delivering phototherapy. Shannon Hermann, our administrative assistant, addresses billing and insurance issues.
